We only know that we don’t know! The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemia showed, how unprepared we are. While virologists know quite well how Corona viruses work, most other stakeholders in society did not have a clear plan how to deal with a pandemia.
What the initial months of the Covid-19 pandemia clearly show: These types of challenges will not be solved by experts of one discipline alone. Problems, solutions and their effects are extremely connected and need integrated approaches.
Therefore, we must build a new science discipline. We call it: “outbreak science“
This discipline aims to present holistic approaches to help manage pandemic catastrophes along five central components:
Medical, Financial, Economic, Social & Governance.
A central aim of crwd.one is to implement an “outbreak science” approach and develop concepts that are based on a broad view of things, as connected problems need connected solutions.
As we believe in the power of smart crowds, please feel invite to discuss our ideas and approaches, which we continuously publish as we come up with them fashion on our blog.
